The Original Cottage Story

Welcome to the Lighthouse Oceanfront Resort two bedroom cottages.  They were built in the 1950’s as the beginning of the original motel.  Rumor is that the current owners’ father purchased the Motel as part of an ‘opportunistic acquisition’ believing that Mr. Grambo was the perfect person to take on the task of putting the cottages back together.  Richard Grambo along with his wife Jan, the first ever General Manager of the motel,  rolled up their sleeves together and turned that little motel into the spectacular resort that stands today.   These cottages have hosted years of family reunions, birthdays, anniversaries and have contributed to making lifetime memories for all of our guests.  The unique style and age of these cottages are beloved by many and when we try to convert them, our efforts are fought with the desire to keep them status quo.  

Unique Floor Plan and Tradition

Each cottage is unique in floor plan and boosted in tradition.  A slight slant here or there, a worn this or that, all adds to the individuality of each room.  These rooms are clean with comfy beds (that have been upgraded) and the kitchens have modest appliances.   The ocean is a bit further away (1200 feet) and the pool, tennis/pickleball center and lobby are just a quick walk (800 feet).  

Each cottage has their own video that allows you to walk thru the clean, yet rustic vintage space.  These budget friendly rooms come with all the amenities of the ‘Oceanfront Resort’ including the swimming pool and jacuzzi, fitness center, the tennis/pickleball center, ping-pong table, and latte stand. 

Dog Friendly Cottages

Our dog-friendly resort/cottage looks forward to welcoming you and your furry friends. Dogs must be nonaggressive and on a leash at all times. We allow up to three dogs in a guest suite. Fee is $20 per night per dog.

Over the years our guests have enhanced the decor, so you will find something new each time you choose to stay with us.  We have 30 years of journals where guests have filled the pages, talking about their stay, their family and the memories they have made.  You can even tap into the tales of haunted rooms and read the stories from past guests, as they see and hear things that come from the supernatural.  

If you have not stayed in the Cottages before, you will need to go to and watch one of the videos for the two bedroom cottages.  You will find a secret code at the end of the video, just remember that as you will be asked for it when you book your reservation.  You can’t book these on line, you must call to book one of these very special cottages 360-642-3622. 

Affordable Cottages do not Have an Ocean View

Please remember:  These are rustic, vintage and yet super clean and comfy.  They DO NOT have an ocean view.  These rooms are budget friendly and with a quick 1200 foot (4 football fields) walk you can be at the Pacific Ocean with your toes dipping in the cool water.  

Stairs are used to access this cottage.
